A Door Curtain That Actually Seals

Every time that door swings open, the room you just paid to heat or cool starts leaking out. Ordinary curtains hang loose at the edges — they block a draft but never really close the gap. The AP1502 fixes that with magnets sewn directly into both panels, so the moment you let go, the curtain pulls itself shut.

It mounts to the frame above your door, not the door itself, which means no drilling into the door and no risk to a rental deposit. Push either panel aside for full doorway access, then let it swing back and reseal on its own.

One honest note up front: this is a thermal and draft seal, not a soundproofing product. If noise between rooms is the real problem, this curtain won't fix it on its own.

1. Track mounts to the frame

Screws and wall anchors attach the rail above the door frame — not to the door itself. One-time install, about 5 minutes.

2. Curtain hooks on and slides

The fabric top tab clips onto the track and glides side to side, so you can push it fully open when you need the doorway clear.

3. Magnets seal on contact

Sewn permanently inside both fabric edges, the magnets pull the panels together the instant they meet — nothing to zip, clip, or line up by hand.

Stays clear

Clear PVC keeps the sightline and natural light open between rooms — this isn't a solid fabric divider.

Install guide

Size Guide

Width	Height	Best for
90 cm / 35.4 in	200 cm / 78.7 in	Standard interior doors, bedrooms
120 cm / 47.2 in	210 cm / 82.7 in	Wider doorways, sliding door openings
150 cm / 59.1 in	210 cm / 82.7 in	Double-door or open-concept dividers

Measure your door frame's width and height, then pick the size at or just above those measurements — the track allows a small side overlap for a flush seal.

Install in 3 Steps

Position and screw the track rail above the door frame
Hook the curtain's top tab onto the track
Let the two panels meet — the magnets do the rest

💡 Pro tip: leave a few millimeters of overlap between panels when hanging them — the magnets will pull them into perfect alignment on their own.

Made For

Bedrooms sharing a hallway AC unit with the rest of the house
Home offices that need to hold their own temperature during the day
Kitchens where you want cooking smells kept out of the rest of the house
Apartments and rentals — frame-mounted, not glued or drilled into the door
Nurseries and pet rooms that need a light draft barrier, not a solid door

⚠️ Not for: anyone expecting blackout darkness or real soundproofing. The panel is clear PVC by design, and it manages airflow and light drafts, not noise. For sound control between rooms, pair it with an acoustic door or wall panel instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this block light like a blackout curtain?

No — the panel is clear PVC, designed to stay see-through while sealing airflow. If you need a blackout solution, this isn't it.

Do I need to drill into my door?

No. The track mounts to the door frame or ceiling trim above the opening, not the door itself.

Can I open it partway?

Yes — slide either panel along the track to whatever width you need, then let go to reseal.

Will the magnets wear out or come loose over time?

No — they're sewn permanently inside the fabric edge, so there's nothing to reattach or lose.

Which size do I need?

Measure your door frame's width and height, then pick the size at or just above those measurements for full coverage.

Is this washable?

Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Don't machine wash it — that can damage the concealed magnets or the track attachment tabs.

Will this actually keep a room warmer or cooler?

It slows heat transfer through the doorway by closing the gap ordinary curtains leave open, but it's a supplement to your AC or heater, not a replacement for a solid door.

Does it work on sliding or double doors?

Yes — the 120cm and 150cm widths are sized for wider sliding door openings and double-door setups.

Will it keep bugs out too?

Yes, the sealed magnetic edge closes the same gap that lets dust and insects in, along with drafts.

Is this good for reducing noise between rooms?

Not on its own — this curtain is built for airflow and light drafts. For noise, pair it with an acoustic door or wall panel.
